Rafa Cervera (Valencia, 1963) is a journalist, screenwriter and author. He began writing about music in 1982, with the fanzine Estricnina, and since then he has worked in publications like Rock Espezial, Ruta 66, El País de la Tentaciones, Primera Línea, Vogue, GQ and Rolling Stone, among many others. He has also worked in radio (Radio 3 Concerts) and he has written books about Lou Reed, Nirvana and Sonic Youth, plus Alaska y otras historia de la movida (2002). Currently he also serves as professor for students doing Masters and Posgraduate work related to music and journalism, and he runs the blog Nada Especial. As DJ, he has played in venues and clubs such as Ocho y Medio, Elastic, and Electropura. In July 2014 he debuted in the International Festival of Benicassim (FIB).
